One of Ms. Doyel's children's books, "Gertrude the Albino Frog and Her Friend Rupert the Turtle," and a set of notecards based on her recent time in Israel and Palestine, will be available at the Monterey Public Library benefit silent auction at Corral de Tierra Country Club. Ms. Doyel is currently working on a new book, which will preclude her from accepting any new speaking engagements until mid-2012.

Researching and illustrating abroad
Ms. Doyel will spend six months, starting in September 2009, in Israel and Palestine creating illustrations and gathering background information for several books about the region that will be published in 2011. Further information about the projects will be available at this site soon.
